Kelly is a stray--wandering the streets and scavenging for food are her normal day-to-day activities. She had a home once. But then her humans moved away and left her alone, with no food and little water. She ran away.

Rufus is a housedog. He has humans still. Rufus's humans and rich, and Rufus is a pampered pooch. He has all the attention in the world. Rufus is also a showdog--he attends dog shows, and has won several times.
