One hundred young adults, ages ranging from 18-22 wake up cold and confused in a prison with no memory of how they got there. Little do they know, they have just been selected to take part in a deadly race where they will be divided into runners and hunters. Prey and predators. Now, in order to survive the upcoming race, 19 year old Amelia Holloway must play her cards right with friends, lovers, and enemies while also completing the tests and trials thrown at her by the people that put her there. One thing is for certain, Amelia Holloway will not let herself become the prey she has been labeled as.

Her opportunity comes in the form of Will, a wealthy ex-soldier with a dark past. Plucked from the streets and thrown into the shimmering palace court, Kay must use her every strength to blend into a world where she doesn't belong, closer to the enemy than she ever thought she would be.
