"It's not a story of a hero fighting a dragon to save the world. It's the story of a dragon who will burn the world to the ground if anyone dares to touch his princess."

I don't own Arnav and Khushi, and this story is purely fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

This story is a submission to the 13th Anniversary Arshi Fiesta 2024, according to the moodboard Mafia AU x Age gap x Arshi on Tumblr.

This story is inspired partly by darkverse and partly by one of my fav couples Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak aka Olicity from the CW show 'Arrow' which was made according to a DC comic character 'Green Arrow.' To enjoy this story you don't have to know any of these. It can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Hello Readers! This was originally a Bepannaah/Adiya fanfic, but I am publishing this story as an Arshi fanfic as well. I hope this fandom enjoys this story just as much as Adiya fans did. Description: A marriage of convenience between Arnav and Kushi. A tragedy brought them together and both knew they can never love each other. But then why were they drawn to each other? Why couldn't they stop themselves from coming closer? See their relationship develop in this new love story. "Tum meri zindagi mein sukoon le ke ayi...lekin tum zaroorat kab ban gayi patha hi nahin chala..." DISCLAIMER: The concept is inspired from the movie Bewafa, so I take no credit for that. I also take no credit for the characters of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon or the pictures. HOWEVER, this story's development, the scenes, and the dialogues are mine. Any similarities to other works is purely coincidence. Any inspirations or references to other works...I will credit to at the end of chapters. This story will be in English, with some dialogues and lines in Hindi. Please forgive me for any grammatical mistakes as Hindi is not my first language. Plagiarism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Remember, even "inspirations" require credit so please be respectful of my work just like I give credit to whoever I am inspired by. Lastly, please let me know if you like this story. I love reading comments. Feedback is always welcome, as long as you keep it constructive. Thank you so much for giving this story a chance! I'm hoping to connect with Arshi fans through this story.

"Two hearts breaking in silence, him pushing her away, thinking she deserved the world. And thus he taught her what love was, by not loving her back. Until one day, all the damns broke loose." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "I love you," she said with a quivering voice. Two pairs of beautiful eyes gazed at each other, one hazel and the other caramel brown. They were having their own conversation beyond the comprehension of mortal language. Fresh tears pooled in her eyes. "Since when, I don't know, but I do. And I want to spend my life with you," she said in a breath unless she lost her courage. The words floated between them, desperate to be acknowledged and cherished like their owner. Collecting herself, she started again, "And if you don't feel the same way, then tell me that you don't love me... that you've never loved me... I need to hear it from you... maybe then I can move on without the what-ifs haunting me at night." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Set in early 20th-century Delhi, it is the tale of Arnav and Khushi, two childhood companions bound by shared trauma and unspoken affection. As they navigated the complexities of societal expectations and pursued personal ambitions, their profound friendship quietly transformed into a love they dared not acknowledge. Amidst the fear of losing each other forever, they must confronted their feelings and weighed the risks of pursuing a future together, where happiness hung delicately in the balance. It is my first attempt at writing fiction. I might be wrong about certain aspects of that age and era, but it's a fantasy, so why not? I don't own Arnav and Khushi, and this story is purely fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. This story is a submission to the 13th Anniversary Arshi Fiesta 2024, according to the moodboard Historical AU on Tumblr.
