From talking clouds, ghosts, one star reviews taking over the town it's not hard to see why such an town needed an protector to keep it from collapsing in on it's own weirdness. Some may think that said protector comes from Gumball Watterson, not that tough but lucky enough to pull through some of the town's biggest bullshit. But no, it's not him. Protocol for the town's safety required someone with more skill, more willingness to "do the deed" when needed, someone with more knowledge on the supernatural than Gumball is.
