All water, no matter the temperature or amount, has to do is touch her skin and she breaks out in hives, even her own sweat and tears cause a reaction. One day, despite her condition, Madeleine sees two guys in the year above her trick a girl into getting into a broken boat before shoving it out to sea. Madeleine knows she has to do something and dives into the water and climbs into the boat. However she is unable to do much as she begins to break out in hives and pain erupts all over her body. She introduces herself to the girl, Cleo Satori. One of her close acquaintances, Rikki Chadwick, manages to come in and save the day while also relieving some of Madeleine's pain. They pick up Emma Gilbert before deciding to take an amazing boat ride. However they run out of fuel and get stranded on Mako Island, none of them realize that after that day their lives would be forever changed.

Set in the same universe as H20: Just Add Water (events of Mako Mermaids did not happen), 4 highschoolers are doing a Biology Project on Mako Island. Not to keen of each other but still wanting to get the work done, they discover a cave with an oh so familiar Moonpool. As magic strikes, suddenly their lives take a 180° Turn. Their normal lives as they knew them? As gone as a dead fish in a stream. Will a shared secret bring these 4 together? Or will huge waves crash between them because of it? Note: I occasionally decide to re-edit older chapters a bit (mostly only little changes) so idk if it shows for readers, but if the release dates are all over the place this is why. And yes I try to avoid it as much as possible, but I can't help myself lmao

Erika Lawrence is a young girl with a knack for swimming underwater without coming up for air for a consecutive amount of time; for her it's normal, to others, not so much. Though after taking one last swim in her high schools swimming pool while waiting for her best friend, she notice's something odd about her right eye, in the far bottom right corner of the iris she sees something off; there with the mix of lavender is a pigment of red that shouldn't be there. At first she shrugs it off, even though she's still concerned about it, but then on the day after her eighteenth birthday something happens. Strange visions appear in her mind throughout the nights of when she is asleep, alongside with the need for water, blood, the consumption of flesh and a supressed memory of her mother. All the while the red in her eye begins to grow... Worried for her own sanity, she goes to her grandparents for guidance, asking them for some kind of answer to be given, if she truly had become something frightful, and what they tell her shocks her, the birthplace of her mother. Wanting to know more about her mother's supposedly secret past Erika and her friend Alison Jones; head there in search for the truth, only to find that some things are best left to be forgotten...
