「村正」Muramasa : The Tale of Sakurai

Once upon a time...A spirit lingered within the material plane, said to withhold a demonic presence of war from an era where the clans within the land of Sakurai were at odds. A spirit fueled by bloodlust, sorrow, grief, greed, rage, and loss. The name of this spirit shares the name of the, now, divided nation, as legend has it, that it was single-handedly reason why the land fell to ruin. The Muramasa.

Long before the fall of the nation, this spirit was nothing but myth and folklore from a time long before sorcery and technology were brought onto the world. However, this did not stop the pursuit of wanderers, historians, and hungry warlords and Shogunate; as the spirit was said to be sealed away within a katana--Who adheres to its wielder at the price of their sanity, but in return, bestowing upon user power to topple armies and even change the world as we know it so long as you are loyal. This caused many to fall as myths began to branch out into alternate stories, thrusting the world into chaos.

Loved ones cutting down one another, politicians striking down the bodies of the weak, armies destroying villagers by the hundreds, brothels turned into seductive houses of assassins...All in hopes that this spirit would seek them out from the altered tales that have been told throughout history.
