That's all it was to Lily and Darien: a myth. A myth story about their overbearing and emotionally unavailable parents' supposed "last set of twins." What happened to this "last set of twins" in the myth story? They were driven far away on an Interstate to one day be abandoned in the woods next to it and forgotten about forever because they were so "bad."
Lily one day realizes that this myth story isn't funny anymore, and it's messed up for anyone to even joke about child abandonment. Little do both Lily and Darien know that it's NOT A MYTH.
It's real, and it happened. Lucy and Drew are the abandoned twins, and somehow the parents hid well the fact that the myth was real. But everything in the dark must one day come to light.

Madeline Craft. 19. College freshman. Ex-greaser, or so she thought. When she gets a custody call that her two siblings were seemingly abandoned in their Tulsa home, there's no option: she has to go back. It wasn't ideal, but her little brothers, four-year-old twins Jack and Graham, they needed her more than she needed college. Besides, college would always be there if she could ever go back. But on a cold day, back at her high school job working at The Dingo, she meets someone that makes anything poor become great. All rights to SE Hinton besides my additions :)
