"I thought you might like it," I spoke so softly I worried the wind had carried my words away, but Astarion faced me, one eyebrow quirked in curiosity. My gaze flickered over to him, then swiftly away. "You do like it, don't you?"
    "Yes, I do." There was a warmth there, in his voice. Not the melted chocolate, sun-warmed honey kind he could turn on and off at will, but something fonder. Clearer. Like the tinkling babbling of a stream and the rustling of leaves. 
    "Good, then."

She made strong connections during her journey and found love amidst the chaos. But at home, she and Astarion have to face not only bias against creatures of the night but also the expectations placed upon Talin. As they dig into Astarion's past and search for a cure for his vampiric affliction, they have to figure out how much they're willing to risk for a chance at a life together in a society where going against the norm could be disastrous. Hi there! This is my first fanfiction and I've never written anything like this, but I love this game and I love fantasy and RPGs so I wanted to try this out and started writing for myself. I really enjoyed writing it, so I decided to share it and I hope you'll enjoy it too. If you do, feel free to drop a comment :) I'm doing my best to stay true to the Forgotten Realms lore, but I might miss a few things here and there. What a bitch I shake my head, ashamed at my petty thoughts. Jealousy has always been a weakness of mine. But I cannot help but compare myself to Tav, everything I am not. Surely there was a mistake? Why would the Dream Visitor help me? A 36 year old mother, her adventuring days behind her? I'm just a regular person, a nobody? What benefit could I possibly bring to this group of incredible heroes? There has definitely been a big mistake.
