"Yes, I do." There was a warmth there, in his voice. Not the melted chocolate, sun-warmed honey kind he could turn on and off at will, but something fonder. Clearer. Like the tinkling babbling of a stream and the rustling of leaves.

As the ash settles and the drinks are pouring a familiar sensation washes over our Tav, the very same one that compelled her to attack poor Alfira in her slumber, perhaps defeating her sister was not just denying her father but in fact taking back her rightful spot as leader of the Bhaalspawn, perhaps Withers was indeed wrong. Questions left unanswered while still having to find a special artifact for Astarion to walk and in the sun and still beating heart to fear Karlach. Rated M for Mature.
