when the god eye fell;
60% of the human population was wiped out
50% of the vegetation destroyed
70% of wildlife, gone
but things....became 300% worse when it rose back up and blocked out the sun.

the darkness eats you alive
monsters and mutants lurk in the darkness of the voided earth

Lantern Bearers are the crazy ones that hasbthw gall to go out in the dark with lantern, gear, and guns at hand to bring back bounties of treasure calles "artifacts" and other things the god eye creates.

artifacts, a object with either a bizzare shape or in the shape of a stone or gem, grant both money from vendors or temporary powers to the holder, if he or she chooses.

But San, he comes across a living, breathing artifact in the shape of a young girl that emits a glow while scavenging.....
