Rebel Young

Fifteen year old April Winters has lost everything to the violent war that has ravaged the Earth for the last hundred years. No one remembers how or why the war started, but they continue to kill each other. The fighting is their way of life now, it has become ingrained into the deepest parts of the human race.

The once safe City no. 134 has been targeted by the enemy from over the border. There is nowhere left to run, nowhere to hide. The towering buildings have been reduced to rubble and the peaceful suburbs are wastelands. Survival is now dependant on a rare genetic mutation that affects a small percentage of the human race. Those with this trait are known as the Talented.

April is one of them, but she is different. The discovery of her Talents place her in a league of her own. She is a weapon of mass destruction, a possessor of unrestrained power and the best chance her people have at freedom. But when the brother she thought she'd lost reenters the picture, how will April cope? Will she crack under the pressure, or rise to the challenge?
