Tatum Preston (26) has been to hell and back. Now living in the city of Los Angeles in 2021 with her best friend Francesca (26), everything she's ever worked for hanging on by a thread and to no fault of her own. Dancers have a shelf life you see - at least that's what Hollywood beats into you. Her manager, part of the company Andromeda, has been stealing money from their clients. A lawsuit is in place and Tatum is still stuck in a contract.

Tatum is ready to leave LA and go back to New York - to the city she loves and holds some of the best memories before losing her mother - before she discovered her ex-boyfriend, Josh Reeves from the band Colorless was cheating on her.

She'd sworn off musicians since then. She'd practically sworn off men all together until one night when Francesca drags her to an album release party for one of her empoloyer's, MDDN, clients.

And there he was.

The one and only Awsten Knight (29).

She'd remembered the first time she saw him in the offices after she brought Francesca lunch while Fran was an intern. It had been a bad day for Tatum. One full of grieving the recent loss of her mother and the person who she thought was the love of her life.

Now on brisk night in late February, Tatum and Awsten were brought back together by an invisible string.
