He's now standing in front of me making me realize how tall he actually is. I only stand 5'6. I look up at him. His gaze now hard like it was earlier in the store. "Did he do this to you?" my eyebrows furrow from confusion. He drags his finger to his face and points to his cheek and lip. Then he points down to my arm. Well the big bruise on it. "oh .. um.. N-no he didn't do this." his gaze still remains hard. "Um-um i got into a fight with a girl.'' I continued to look at his face. From what I can see he doesn't believe me. I don't even know why I felt the need to clarify or lie to him about my bruises. After her father died from a hit and run things change at home. she wanted to run but there was nowhere to go. so she made a promise to herself that she would get away from there eventually even when she comes across someone she cant seem to get out of her head.

I look down at my hands and start crying again, "I-i'm sorry, Jayden."
He pulls me onto his lap and hugs me, I put my shaking hand on his cheek, "Jayden... I'm sorry I couldn't keep him from finding out. He said next time it's gonna be me or you... he told me I can't see you anymore." I say into his neck.
He pulls away from the hug and wraps his arms around my waist, "then there won't be a next time."
"W-w-what do you mean?" I ask with more tears falling down my face.
"I mean, there won't be a next time. We're running away." . . . Eighteen year old twins Vivian and Rosey, have been abused their entire life.
