Mara Potter lost her parents when she was 3. She was put in foster care for wizards and was adopted by a gay couple. They raised her like she was their own. But they also knew her tragic past and didn't want anyone to know her real name, so they had her go by Lia. When she turns 11 her fathers decide to send her to Bauxbatons.
