Tormented by grief he finds refuge in the one solace he has left; getting revenge on her killer, but his path of vengeance his halted one night, when he re-unites with Emma in a dream.
The dream is so vivid and lifelike, he wishes with all of his being that he could go back.  Shortly after he will discover that with enough practice - he can,  but lucid dreaming is a tepid beast, as Adrian will soon discover.
He perfects his skills to see her in the dream world and as his waking hours become a fog of fatigue and obsession, his professional and personal life unravel as he chases the elusive specter of Emma in the dream world and her killer in the real one.
