A woman from modern Earth, who is reborn into a novel she strongly dislikes - where she is cast as the accused villainess. Despite her hatred for the role, Maxine takes it upon herself to change the course of the story. Using her 'hollow heart', 'sharp tongue', and 'keen eyes', Maxine works behind the scenes to expose the true criminals and villains, rather than allowing herself to be pinned as the sole evil-doer. As she navigates this new world, Maxine's cold, hollow heart begins to warm as she develops an affection for the newly born son of the Duke Zachary Winha. The Duke to whom she is forced to wed by her own family. Destiny brings Maxine and Zachary's son together, allowing them to twist the original storyline in unexpected ways and bring more meaning and warmth to the lives of those around them. What was once a 'nonsense death of the villainess' becomes a tale of an accused woman taking control of her own narrative and uncovering the real villains behind the scenes.

Up until a sudden tragic death, Vivian lived a less-than-ideal life in our modern world. After her demise, she's transported inside the last book she read. The worst part about all of it is that not only is she just a side character, but she's also the daughter of the book's villain. Why is this a bad thing? Because the villain kills his very own daughter on her eighteenth birthday. Born into having prior knowledge of everything except for her previous life's name, she's stuck in an infant's body with an adult's mind. Vivian must figure out how to change her fate as the hourglass counts down to her death. Follow Vivan as she learns what it means to feel loss, betrayal, familial devotion, and maybe even have a chance at love. This novella is part of an intended duology. Book two will be posted as a whole once completed. Book one has romance elements, but book two is where the romance will primarily take place. Book one is intended to set up the worldbuilding and plot for book two. Trigger warnings: Mention of prostitution, death, torture, graphic violence, sexual assault
