Alexis Saria, a 23 Year old girl born and raised in the heart of New York finds her life beyond altered when a school internship at the Mikoshi Corporation goes horribly wrong. During an experiment with a mysterious electric element seemingly found in the middle of Time's Square one fateful day, a chaotic explosion occurs leaving the building, its residents, and nearly half the block in a sea of devastation. Somehow, some way, firefighters are able to recover only a small handful of critically injured survivors. Except one... Her... Something happened, the energy found a home inside of her and unlike any other being, she was unharmed by it. Her life however... Not so much.

It's been a year since the events and not a single day in Alexis' life has ever been normal. Somewhat effective, special gloves were designed by Mikoshi to better contain the energy in her hands as even the touch of her finger to another person could result in death by its electric effects.
