There was nothing she could do... She didn't ask for this... She didn't ask to hold the powers of pure energy at the palm of her hand. All she could do was live with it. Even if it meant being unable to love, unable to touch a living being, unable to be herself.

Alexis Saria, a 23 Year old girl born and raised in the heart of New York finds her life beyond altered when a school internship at the Mikoshi Corporation goes horribly wrong. During an experiment with a mysterious electric element seemingly found in the middle of Time's Square one fateful day, a chaotic explosion occurs leaving the building, its residents, and nearly half the block in a sea of devastation. Somehow, some way, firefighters are able to recover only a small handful of critically injured survivors. Except one... Her... Something happened, the energy found a home inside of her and unlike any other being, she was unharmed by it. Her life however... Not so much.

It's been a year since the events and not a single day in Alexis' life has ever been normal. It is filled with daily tests and observations to keep track of her health and the energy's presence while researching a way to get it out of her. Somewhat effective, special gloves were designed by Mikoshi to better contain the energy in her hands as even the touch of her finger to another person could result in death by its electric effects. 

Alexis finds herself alone, unable to school, unable to work, unable to see her family, and perhaps the worst of all, unable to love another. Little does she know, she isn't the only person afflicted by this curse... And one day she will have to either learn to use the energy or face a fate far worse than death. 

In a story filled with love, action and mystery how can one girl survive on her own unknowing that she is the one who decides the fate of the world.All Rights Reserved

He just barely registered the girl's surprised expression before Drake's fist met Jamie's face. A searing pain shot through his cheek and up his nose. Something cracked loudly, and he fell to the ground, blinded with pain. There was muffled shouting and a faraway thump. Jamie reached up to touch his nose. Jamie blinked, trying his best to see. Before he knew what was happening, she was touching his nose. He winced, expecting pain, but the throbbing began to subside until it disappeared almost entirely. Pressing something hard into his hand, Jamie realized she had found his glasses. The frames were bent and the glass had cracked. Jamie groaned. "I really should get some contacts." The girl laughed, and Jamie felt himself smile a little. She helped him to his feet, and he wobbled but stayed upright. "You okay?"

Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
