Time. It passes without us even realising. To the humans on the surface, time is the thing used to know when we need to be somewhere, to know how long a lesson is in school. But to the monsters underneath the surface of Mt. Ebbot, time is so much more than that. Monsters will stand for days watching clocks, watching every second pass by.  They no longer learn how to fight, to defend themselves. They instead learn the mechanics inside watches, they learn how to make clocks, how to look after timepieces to keep them ticking. Their souls are no longer white, they have turned a deep forest green, a colour they heavily associate with time. They are obsessed, and all of this counting seconds is them waiting for one thing, the thing they need to be freed from their underground prison
