I gasped as I was pushed in front of the line. The man behind me had dull scissors in his hands, ready to hack away at my hair.
"No stop it!" I yelled. He just hit me again. I cried.
"Wait!" A voice yelled. I looked up through my blurred vision to see a figure standing in front of me. I quickly wiped away my tears. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him. He stroked my hair. I saw that he was a high ranking military officer. "I'm keeping this one."
He dragged me away. I looked back at my family's horrified faces. A Nazi just saved me from getting killed, but I knew that he would kill me. That was my fate. But, until then I was now a Nazi officer's property.
