Michael Jackson's life are almost enough to obscure the true greatness of this artist. During those last fifteen years we saw the handsome, charming Pop star go through myriad plastic surgeries that made him look more like a latter-day Peter Pan. We saw the trappings of unprecedented fame manifested in beyond bizarre behavior--the kind for which "eccentric" seems a mild term. And then, there are the child molestation scandals. Media were ready to somehow link his strange persona with his alleged sexual abuse of minors--few were willing to draw the same link to his own father's abuse.

It's almost enough to overshadow his legacy. Almost, but not quite.

None of these are what Jackson is being remembered for as millions mourn his sudden passing the world over. They aren't the reasons that we see footage of people breaking down in sobs of grief at news of his death. We are hearing condolences coming not just from musical icons like Madonna and Paul McCartney, but world leaders like Nelson

The Other Bill Shakespeare

36 Mga Parte Ongoing

In the vibrant tapestry of 1970s Australia, where high society meets the counterculture, Madeline, once a poor relation, finds herself ensnared by the son of a corrupt politician. After a traumatic event leaves her pregnant and alone, she invents the existence of Bill Shakespeare, a husband to shield her from society's harsh judgments. Enter an actual Bill Shakespeare, not of the stage but of the bush, a hippie with a passion for poetry and peace, who stumbles into her life just as she's crafting her escape from scandal. Embracing the role of her faux husband with a zeal that surprises even Madeline, this Bill brings with him the ethos of the Aquarius Festival's free love and communal living. Together, they navigate a world of mistaken identities, bell-bottoms, and disco beats, discovering that love, laughter, and a dash of Shakespearean drama can challenge the conventions of a judgmental society. Will their unconventional union thrive amidst the psychedelic dawn of a new age, or will it unravel like a fragile dream?
