Mermaids are real, and unlike humans they have powers. Every mermaid is matched with an element when they are born, its not there choice but the worlds in a way, you see the mermaids tail color tells them their element and powers some are more powerful with it and other's not so much to useless. Green tails mean their element is Nature and earth, orange and yellow is light, purple is shadows, pink is wind and then there is blue for water and red for fire. But, when a princess is born with a tail holding 5 out of 6 of the elemental colors and starts getting hunted at the age of one. There was only one thing the king could do to keep his precious babygirl safe and that's what he had done. Amelia Light was adopted at the age of one. Knowing the truth she feel's that these people are her real family even if they aren't by blood. Living a normal life with a loving family and an annoying older brother, Amelia never expected her life to change in the way it did. She had grown up to love the water, she could always hold her breath for a long time and the people around her would always be filled with shock and bewilderment but, to her it was normal. At the age of 5 Amilea could hold her breath for a minute but as she gotten older it changed when she was 10 she could hold it for 5 minutes easy! Now that she is turning 16 soon she can hold it for almost and I mean almost 10 minutes. She had loved everything about it but the summer after she turned 15 some.. Difficulties happen and Amelia discovers she has a tail! A hard secret to keep, and lots of difficulties on the road ahead, will Amelia be able to get all the answer's she is looking for? And what will she do now? Can she really live the best of both worlds? Or will she have to choose? How will she even find were to get her answer's too? Those who were taken... They never came back, dragged beneath the waves never to return. Their haunting screams were a symbol of their horrific deaths. Like shadows they lay in wait, the deep blue waters hiding them from view. With sharp claws they attack, Pointed fangs tearing into skin, Eager mouths devouring human flesh. Cally was taken, dragged under the water by one of the vicious creatures. But she was not devoured nor torn apart by ruthless claws--no. She was a captive. ~•~ Water instantly invades her senses. Her eyes sting, her lungs and nose burning. She thrashes, kicks, claws--anything to get away. Her efforts go to waste as her body slowly starts to shut down, the air in her lungs quickly being replaced by sea water. Cally is vaguely aware of arms wrapping around her waist and behind her head before she loses consciousness, submerged in darkness. And so she is taken.
