Sadie over hears her mom talking to someone on the phone after their argument, and suddenly the next morning, Sadie's mom gets into an accident where she does not make it, causing Sadie to enter foster care.  

After entering foster care, Sadie notices come weird things occurring, and she suddenly does not think her moms death is an accident anymore.
