One night Sadie Collins and her mom get into an argument, about Sadie's mom donating one of Sadie's beloved stuffed animals. Sadie over hears her mom talking to someone on the phone after their argument, and suddenly the next morning, Sadie's mom gets into an accident where she does not make it, causing Sadie to enter foster care.  

After entering foster care, Sadie notices come weird things occurring, and she suddenly does not think her moms death is an accident anymore. Sadie decides to do her own investigation of her mom's death, which will bring up some unwanted emotions and things Sadie tries hard to forget.
