Allow me to set the scene. The year is 2056 and the world has torn it's self apart with science long before nature could. The planet's dwindling population is now split into three groups, two of which are fighting in a war with drastic consequences.
First, there are the Lycanthropes, or more commonly referred to as werewolves or shifters. They are the results of genetic mutation done by a scientific research facility in Japan. Sadly, the formula that was developed was incurable and left the subject with strange wolf like behavior along with their furry althrego. The subjects had the even stranger need to mate with the one they felt was destined for them.
Second, there were those who had caught a blood diese.The origins for said diease is not known, but is is guessed to be from the mid-Atlantic. The diease gave its victims strange qualities, making their skin pale and their hair darker. The victims needed fresh blood in their system in order to survive. This earnd them the name Vampir.
Thirdly, there were the humans struggling to survive in a world they no longer know.

7 years ago, an infection spread throughout Earth's population. Many were turned into what can only be described as a zombie. The cause of this infection? Vampires. Vampires have been trying to take over the Earth for centuries. They faced many problems, the main one being their lack of numbers. Turning humans is a dangerous process for both the humans and vampires. The vampires hired scientists to create a synthetic venom to turn humans into vampires. Their first prototype was tested prematurely. It gave the human test subjects extreme speed and strength for 1 hour. They escaped and infected hundreds. The infection spread and mutated till the Earth was overrun by different kinds of hungry human - eating zombies. Vampires aren't the only supernatural creatures. Most of the others have gone into hiding, trying to wait it out. Werewolves, however, are the mortal enemies of vampires. They have formed a guard that protects humans day and night. Every time I tried to stop, something clenched in my stomach, instinctual and feral. It compelled me to move. Sometimes it felt like it was pulling me in the opposite direction, back the way I came. That feeling I ignored - nothing short of demonic possession could convince me to go anywhere near that forest ever again. It wouldn't be nearly long enough that I would realize I hadn't imagined that pull. That some invisible force was compelling me towards that man. To Nate. When I did realize, I made sure I used it to keep running in the opposite direction of wherever it told me to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Picture this: you're a 17 year old werewolf. Your Alpha, under false counsel, believes your entire family instigated a failed coup so he kills your parents, and you're next. Your options are basically die now, or turn rogue and die anyways. What do you choose - swift and painless, or drawn out and lonely? If you answered, "Neither," then you'd be correct. I didn't anticipate, though, that one bad theft in the beginning was going to send a ripple that would come back to haunt me in unimaginable ways.
Twisted Turmoil
Centuries ago, the supernatural decided to come out of hiding. It sparked a war, all sides suffering until a treaty was formed. All species signed it. While most of the world chose to intermingle and live in coexistence, two countries remained the outliers. North America split into territories. The werewolves took most of the mid- western side, save for the coast that had been more city dominated. The vampires claimed the coastal sides that were city dominated. A few decades after the treaty, the boundary lines blurred but still existed. Witches and humans intermixed; some preferred the solitude the forests provided while others liked the constant movement of the cities. No one was restricted to specific sides. There were stories of others, the fae and merfolk. They had long since died out during the war. Humans now threatened to follow in their footsteps.

After watching her parents die before her eyes, 17 year old Tris Prior and her brother Caleb Prior have been in and out of foster homes. Recently they have been changed into a new one. In this new foster home, Tris gets beat every day from her new foster father, making her life even more unbearable than it already was. Until one day, Tris's life changes forever, she mysteriously changes into a wolf, making her a werewolf. Not only that, she has supernatural powers not even her wolf can explain. Later then, her wolf confesses that the hottest guy at school is her mate. Between becoming alpha, recruiting pack members, shape shifters, and an abusive foster dad, how will Four and Tris do it? -:- "Since we're telling each other secrets, I guess I better tell- well show you mine."
