Hot shot is five years old. He lives with his father Heatwave, his mother Quickshadow and Dalmatian puppy Fireplug. They live in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is a very active and playful child. He is very kind, sweet, and loving child with a big heart. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell. Hot shot has a painful left ankle, he is limping, he has a fever, and now there is a lump on his ankle. His parents take him to see Dr. Erret his pediatrician. Who sends them to Cook Children's Hospital Dodson specialty clinics to see a special doctor a pediatric oncologist. There they do many tests on Hot shot and he is diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma a type of bone cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt!
