"Well sweetheart, I'm here to tell you that life isn't fair." His honey-smooth voice whispered in my ear as he hoisted me over his tall, broad shoulders. I was laughing uncontrollably as I pounded my fists against his muscular back. As he ran around the house. Our house. I suddenly stopped laughing and just smiled to myself as I realized that this was the reason I was still here. The reason I hadn't given up so many years ago. As he set me down on our bed and allowed me to wrap my arms around him and snuggle into his chest, he smiled at me sleepily before wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"Tell me a story." He whispered softly in my ear
"What kind of story?" I giggled.
"How about us." He smiled.
"Us?"
"Yes, us. I want to know what was going through your head when you fell in love with my dashing looks and amazing personality."
I giggled at that. "Oh so very humble of you. But if that's the story you want to hear then that's the story you're gonna hear." 
I cleared my throat and began.
