/The story is not mine. All rights and credit goes to the excellent original author Erica L./ Jennie Kim and Lalisa Manobal were high school rivals who thought they would never have to deal with each other again. Eight years after graduating, the two are thrown back together on a trip to Cabo with their two best friends. Throughout the trip, they quickly learn they get under each other's skin in more ways than one. When their sexual chemistry becomes too much to ignore, they decide to fan the flames. Sleeping with your enemy isn't such a bad idea when you're never going to see them again, right?

Jennie Kim is power wrapped in silk-coldly beautiful, dangerously persuasive, and used to bending the world to her will- while Lalisa Manoban is light personified, a kind and captivating soul whose innocence shines all the brighter against Jennie's darkness. Their meeting sparks a clash of worlds, with Jennie seeing in Lalisa not just a person, but a possession worth claiming, an obsession that consumes her until she can no longer imagine a life without Lalisa by her side, while Lalisa, too trusting and gentle to notice the shadows closing in, mistakes Jennie's manipulative grip for protective affection, never realizing that every step she takes deeper into Jennie's orbit only tightens the invisible chains around her heart. Together they form a romance that is as intoxicating as it is perilous-light entrapped by darkness, and darkness softened only by the light it refuses to let go.
