I am the monster that hides under your bed. I am the creature in your closet. I am the shadow that lurks in the dark. I am the Boogie Man but you know I'm not really a man I'm a woman. The storytellers just thought that the Boogie Man sounds scarier that the Boogie Woman. But I still exist you may tell your self that I don't and as you get older you you start to believe the lie you told your self. But the children know I exist and they fear me they scream every time the lights go out they're so scared of me and they're fear is wonderful. The fear of a child is just the most wonderful type of fear. I know your worst nightmare and your best dream so don't comfortable for I'm coming and you best be ready for me.

I saw this WP on Reddit, and I had a lightbulb moment. Since the age of 14, you've noticed a monster stalking you. A few years later, you've noticed it seems very protective over you and will go through extreme measures to protect you. It's usually friendly, but it seems threatening when your childhood friend is around. I changed "Monster" to a shadow, but is it a shadow really? Since a young teen, Damien has always noticed s͟o͟m͟e͟t͟h͟i͟n͟ ͟g, that something is a figure in the corner of his eyes. He thought he was just going crazy, till one day it appears before him. Monster Beneath The Surface (Solangelo AU)
Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to!
