When I looked into the pond I was still young and healthy.
Lucretia was telling me it was her time to scatter herself to the winds, that the estate was her gift to me for being her companion for the last three hundred years.

With that she leaned over, gave me a kiss, and a gust of wind began to turn her into dust that was picked up by the wind and scattered to the four corners of the earth.

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.

Book 1 of "Bloodlust" series. "I'm going to give you one chance to answer me. Where is she?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, terrified. "I swear that I don't know what you're talking about!" I answered, starting to shiver. She smiled wickedly. "You know, the only reason I sent my brother away was because I wanted to interrogate you myself. Whatever he would have done to you doesn't even begin to compare with what I'm going to do to you if you don't answer me. So... One more time. Where. Is. She?" She said, in a condescending tone, as if she was explaining something to a child. "Look, if you want to kill me go ahead. I don't know anything." I said, looking into her eyes and faking the confidence that I definitely didn't have. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side, and for a few seconds I though she wouldn't to anything. My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile. Everything about her showed me that she wanted to hurt me and even more. She wanted me, in every way possible. Rated M(Mature content): Contains triggering content, read at your own risk.

In one swift movement of my hand I reached behind Sapphire's neck and released her hair from the low ponytail it was in. She gasped at my action and looked at me with feverish eyes. I thought I saw the colour gold flicker in her eyes, for a few seconds before I lifted my hand near her face and tucked a strand of her wavy hair behind her ear, before I said: "I fell in love with you, the first second I saw you reading that Tolstoy book in the library." She looked up at me, her warm beige skin looked like it was glowing now and she said with pure sincerity in her eyes "per sempre, in ogni dimensione, per sempre in ogni vita, solo tu fino al mio ultimo respiro amore mio" It meant (Forever, in every dimension, forever in every life, only you until my last breath, my love) I snaked my hands around her waist and pulled her close to me. Before kissing her the way I wanted to all this time, i looked into her eyes and said "Me too my love, me too." My first novel is about soulmates. And reincarnation. About, how many bodies a soul has to live in before they finally become their true selves. And before they finally get to be with their soulmate. It's about how love has so many faces. It's about how we never know what roads life will force us to cross. And what emotions we will be gifted to feel. And the things we're blessed with that sometimes we neglect. It's about giving yourself the time to grow and evolve before you give yourself to someone completely. And it's about not to take the love you have in your life for granted.

Prologue I used to have a nightmare when I was younger. It was always the same order and the same impact. It started with the warmth of sand consuming my feet. I looked up to see a warzone. There were flashes of fire, water, and lightning. It was like a war of the gods. Suddenly I felt the heat on my back. I turned to see neon red and yellow flames consume me. I ran to hide in the bushes that were next to me, feeling out of breath I tried to calm myself down. Strands of dark red hair covered my face. I proceeded to swipe my hair and look at my surroundings. I heard sobbing coming from near me. I trudged through the bushes and toward the sobbing when I got to under a willow tree. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked. I saw a girl with long dark red hair being the cause of the sobbing. She had a huge gash on her forehead with blood trailing down her face. She also had burns on her arms and shirt. The boy was in much worse condition. He was covered in burns, she was covering his face with only his hair showing. They both had the same colored hair. Suddenly my necklace started to glow with an amber color. The girl in front of me had a similar amber glow. Two amber crowns sat on top of the pillow. One female and one male crown sat on top of the pillow. Once I walked closer the glow came back. Once I grabbed the tiara everything became white. I was once again in another room, I attempted to move but I mysteriously couldn't. A neon purple bolt of lightning hit my chest. We both locked eyes with each other. Was that me? Before I could find out, the ground started to be drained into a whole. I was sucked into the drain and everything soon became black and I was free-falling. My back soon hit the ground of the room. I rose to look at the surroundings of the new room I was in. I fell to my knees from the pain. Then a person walked forward and grabbed my face.

"I hate you." I sniffle, my unleashed tears burning behind my eyes and threatening to spill over. "No you don't. In fact, it's quite the opposite, isn't it? At least, that's what you admitted just a few second ago." He smirks at me, his long legs striding over to me at a painfully slow pace, his cat-like eyes watching me with obvious amusement. "I do." I glare at him. "I hate you because you won't listen to me when I tell you how much you mean to me. I hate you because every bit of hurt I feel is because of you. I hate you because your more freaking pretty than I am, and I'm the girl!" my sniffles become louder as I continue. "I hate you because your perfect - too perfect. I hate you so freaking much because everything I've ever wanted is you!" "You don't mean that." 'See?" I point out. "You deny everything - every single thing! You care for me as much as I care for you, don't you?" I wipe my nose with the back of my hand. "Your just in denial." "I'm not in-" Life is seriously screwed up when the woman has to make the first move. So, being the confident and sexy woman I am, I strut over to him with a determined glare, my stance tense and rigid. And before I give myself - or him - the time to back away, I step onto his toes to give me a height-boost and grip the sides of his face, bringing his head down to my reach and crushing my lips against his. And that, lady's and gentleman, is how you kiss a vampire. ~-~ Meet Nicole Rosabelle. A witty, passionate, cunning, confident, adventurous, red-head. To her, vampires only exist on a sheet of white paper that belongs in a book at the library. But even though these mythical creatures don't exist in her world, she can't help but be undeniably fascinated by them. But isn't that like every other vampire-addicted female? Perhaps not. When Nicole meets dark and brooding Abe Parke, things take a twist in her already not-so-normal world. ~-~ Copyright©
