As Damon knocks the single guard down, stealing the keys Stefan comes up behind him, "We don't have long." Opening the carriage that locked the girl they both wanted, Katherine. Just behind the trees was two teens. Watching to make sure that the brothers don't get harmed. Panting while trying to unlock the door Damon repeats her name, "Katherine. Katherine." A moment of relief as the boys were able to save her.
Laying her gently on the dirt road. Damon removed the muzzle while Stefan was getting the ropes that bonded her hands together. "We're gonna get you out of here," Damon says panting. The horses that held the carriage begin neighing signaling the boys of how little time they have left.
"Damon, hurry. Hurry," Stefan says panicking that they weren't going to get her out in time to save her. Then a gunshot sounded through the air as Damon fell groaning in pain. The little girl behind the tree fell to her knees crying as the boy next to her held her close to his chest.

β³ Bloodlines, follows the tragedy of the Salvatore siblings. Their returning presence causes for things to be revealed sooner than expected and lives of many being changed. Ariana and Maxwell never wanted anything to happen her brothers but with how much of a mess they end up causing they have no choice but to get involved. Now it's whether this decision was for the best and if the blood that flows is strong enough to keep families together.

A baby's cry pierces the air as the midwife passes the baby to the awaiting hands of the father. Damon happily takes the baby from her hands holding her close to his chest not worried about the blood most likely staining his clothes. As quickly as the moment began it was lost, Damon was pushed out of the small room the baby still in his hands. "Stop! Wait! What's going on?" Damon yells trying to get back into the room. That's when he gets a look into the room noticing the many midwives rushing around attaching things to his wife lying on the bed, covered in blood and sweat from just giving birth. "Ruby! Ruby!" Damon yells over the loud cries of the baby in his arms. Damon stops yelling the shock to great. He hears the midwife's declare her dead, the blood loss to severe. In that one lonely moment Damon realizes that he will do everything he can to keep the little girl in his arms safe, no matter the cost. --------- Angels Mother died when she was only a few minutes old leaving her in the hands of her father, the great Damon Salvatore.
