Two years later when all the humans on Earth are either destroyed or abducted, she finally finds him again, only to realize that things aren't going to be easy from here on out. Stuck between her brother who's bitter that Kairo won't chose him, her best friend who just can't seem to get a break, and the UGSPA (United Galatic Sapient Pet Association) trying to steal her and Kairo for 'breeding', she doesn't know what to do, let alone how to fix it.
