This is his home now. This foreign planet with these alien's that he's come to love like family, but nothing is ever easy and peace was never the option for them. - Fissure's life had always been easy and his problems had always been easy to solve. When he was abducted from his home planet before he could form his own pack he was devastated. After he claimed what he had thought to be an extreme curiosity that he'd come to know and love as Kairo; being a pet wasn't so bad and when he rescued Steele, life was great. Only his pack's troubles weren't over and with the conflicting desires of his nature and the human morals of his mate, Fissure was torn. How could he keep everyone safe? - Devastated, heartbroken, and lost when her best friend dissapeared, Eva never expected the reason he was gone to be aliens. Two years later when all the humans on Earth are either destroyed or abducted, she finally finds him again, only to realize that things aren't going to be easy from here on out. Stuck between her brother who's bitter that Kairo won't chose him, her best friend who just can't seem to get a break, and the UGSPA (United Galatic Sapient Pet Association) trying to steal her and Kairo for 'breeding', she doesn't know what to do, let alone how to fix it. The only thing she does know is that she won't loose him again and she'll do anything to stay with him.

Every Dagerstanteen knows Rhylent dislikes humans. In fact, the alien isn't a fan of ninety percent of the other species in the universe. But all that changes when he refuels his spaceship and begrudgingly accepts two slaves. Although it would make more sense to kill these silly creatures, oddly, he cannot bring himself to do it. So... what now? For the last fifty human years, Chasm has been a slave and a laborer for whatever alien owns him. Chasm and his only friend, Norwell, get bought, sold, and trafficked again. Now, stuck in a slave market, Chasm faces that their latest master has decided that they're a waste. Just as Chasm and Norwell are to be incinerated, an ill-tempered Dagerstanteen saves his life. Chasm isn't sure what will happen to him and Norwell, but he can be sure no alien will ever want a human as damaged as him. If Norwell and Chasm can escape the prickly alien who now possesses them, they will be free. That's what he wants, isn't it? To be free?
