Children of Dragons | Aemond Targaryen
"It had been a long time since Aemond had known real fear. So long that he couldn't even recognize the feeling when he came upon the man drowning his betrothed in the bath. That fear was replaced with anger. Rage. He had known rage. He knew it well enough to know what was to come next. Nothing could stop Aemond Targaryen as he tore the man from Aemma. Aemond did not spare the look of surprise on the man's face a second thought. His fist collided with the man's nose first. Then his cheekbone. Then his right eye. His nose. His left eye." ~ Aemma Velaryon is the eldest daughter of Rhaenyra Targaryen, the Black Queen. Aemond Targaryen is the youngest son of Alicent Hightower, the queen of the Greens. When they are arranged to be wed, a reluctant but reliant bond is forged. Can their love rise above the flames set alight by their parents? Or will the forces at work push them to opposite sides of an oncoming war? [fanfiction inspired by the House of the Dragon show]

The Gods We Can Touch |Aemond Targaryen x Niece!Reader|
The older twin of Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, you were a picture of the maiden, untouched and untainted by man's sins. At least, that was what Alicent Hightower believed when she held you in her arms moments after her old friend's labors. You were her shining light, her dream. Though you were never hers, she believed you were meant to be. What will become of you as time passes and the Queen's shining light grows within the blackened darkness? Will her eldest son's morbid fascination with the light burn the realm? Or will her second son's obsession with the only daughter of Rhaenyra Targaryen change the course of the Seven Kingdoms as we know it? "I have outlasted all desire, My dreams and I have grown apart; My grief alone is left entire, The gleamings of an empty heart. The storms of ruthless dispensation Have struck my flowery garland numb, I live in lonely desolation And wonder when my end will come." ☆☆☆☆ All House of the Dragon/A Song of Ice and Fire warnings apply, but I will put specific ones with each chapter. However, there will be depictions of childhood sexual assault and the trauma response/coping mechanisms that can stem from it. You've been warned. The reader does have a name and the typical Targaryen/Strong features, but other than that, the descriptions are vague.
kinslayer | aemond targaryen ☾
He is fire; she fears the flames. Naerys Velaryon, firstborn of Rhaenyra Targaryen, bears the blood of the dragon yet carries a curse that sets her apart: a terror of fire. When her mother's claim hung by a thread, she was bound in childhood to her uncle, Aemond Targaryen-a union forged not out of love, but as the price exacted for the loss of his eye. Ten years later, Naerys returns to King's Landing to fulfill her duty. But her betrothed is no longer the boy she once knew. Aemond is vengeance made flesh, as sharp and unforgiving as the blades he wields. In a court ruled by treachery, where oaths shatter as swiftly as they are sworn, they must set aside their grievances... if only to seize what they both covet. The Iron Throne. And in the game they are forced to play, hatred may prove the only thing more perilous than desire.
