Maeve Lynch grew up with fairy tales of witches and wizards, unicorns and fairies, magic and beauty. Every night before she went to sleep, her mother would tell her stories of another world filled with whimsy and sorcery. When she turned eleven, she realized every bed time story was rooted firmly in a reality that had been just out of her grasp, a reality her mother could never share in. The steps of Hogwarts were hallowed to the girl but she spent years trying to fall into step with her peers only to find her little life on its head, permanently setting her pace apart from her classmates leading her perfectly into step with a group of rowdy Gryffindors that would make upside down feel like a perfectly normal way to be.
