A Sonic X AU based on two fanfics, the Sonic Movie fanfic "Just Took a Bit Longer to Find My Way Home" and the Sonic X one "Letting Go of Hope"
The movie characters are in this fic. As in Tom, Maddie, Wade, Randall, Rachal and Jojo.
It's still like the same timeline as the episodes, but Sonic, at some point, decides to stay with Tom and Maddie, given the parent-child bond.
After Sonic and his friends got separated, the blue hedgehog finds himself in a warehouse and was tortured there for 6 months (like in Forces).
After he finally escaped, he passed out in an area of a garage, where two humans took him in, after he woke up and explained everything.
A special bound between him and the couple blooms when he decides to stay here, slowly recovering.
But when discovering that he wasn't the only one on Earth, he starts searching for his friends with the help of his current ones.
Join Sonic and his friends, new and old, as they start looking for the Chaos Emeralds and stop Dr Eggman.
