Tonight is the great ball and every royal, count and other highly ranked officials would be visiting, except for one person.

There was a chamber at the far end of the great palace, where hardly any activities take place. The chamber is usually very quiet; very less guards or servants could be seen there.

Far back at the very end of the balcony, a small figure was lying with her tear strained face, yet she had a soft charm on her face.

She was a beauty on earth. It was chilly, yet she laid glued to the railing. She was facing the starry sky, staring at the moon.

Her eyes were twinkling as she admired her Moon, her hair long swaying with the wind; creating a mesmerising sight and alluring sound while playing her Baansuri (flute)

Her small lips which were slightly kissing the baasuri were wobbling; another trail of tear fell down her doll like eyes. The sound of Baansuri floating into the air; disappearing.

It was her chamber.
Rajkumari Mayurika.

The one whom hardly anyone knows about. A little Sparrow trapped in a golden cage.

𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 Ⅰ 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐏𝐔𝐓𝐈-𝐁𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 Shefali Roy had lost her parents in a pandemic when she was just one year old. That was the first time she was orphaned. The next time she was orphaned was when she was seventeen. The army of the barbaric sultan invaded and burned down every house in the tranquil town of Muksadabad where she lived with her old grandfather. Shefali had to run into the wilderness of the outer world because she knew if they caught her then they would not even spare her death. Having been orphaned again into the hands of circumstances, the last thing she wanted was to faint in the longing road just to end up in the service she was so vividly running away from, prostitution. The youngest son of the royal family of Chauhans of Rajasthan was growing up unaware of the twisted future he was to face soon. It was only until one fine day that he saw a girl wearing a distinct piece of worn-out dirty cloth so beautifully draped around her body, nothing like what his people wear. All until his glance reached her curious eyes when he was blown away by the wilderness of her serenity. Having hated such women who indulge in prostitution all his life ever since his father, the king, started having serious affairs with them, will this hot-headed Chauhan of Rajasthan understand the unheard words of the girl who thought the most yet talked the least? It's not a tale of love and happy endings... it's a legacy of generations in the Royal family of the Chauhans dating back to the early 16th Century when pride met poise and turned wise.
