The Birth of a Ranger by WPVexena
15 parts Complete Mature
Dante Aurelius grew up in the boring village of Arthedain as a noble of the Silvermoon noble house. She dulled from the never ending life of hardship bestowed upon her family upon her birth for the debt that was owed to keep Dante alive and free for as long as she lived. It all came crashing down one, fateful night when she was awoken from palace guards shaking her awake and guiding her to a horse and sending her away from the mansion, her parents screams heard in the distance. She wandered for days in the forest, shadowed by the Whitehorn Mountains until she came across a man of the forest. A Dunedain Ranger. Who not only saved her life but freed her from a lifetime of servitude and made her one of his own as well as adopted her. Will Dante fall off the deep end and snap from the loss? Or will she rise above all else and push past the pain and sorrow? (Hey guys! This book is honest a work of fan fiction in a way and has been comprised from my Discord RP server. Dante, Azura, Connor and most all of the other characters come from the server, Dante being my OC. I do not take all the credit for every last idea in this book but a lot of it is custom written, though as I mentioned not all of it. I will not claim to be a good writer but since I enjoy it I figured why not make a book containing the backstory of Dante Aurelius and go from there. I hope you all enjoy this as a read regardless.) READER NOTE: This story was completed on a cliff hanger since all the content from this story came from a rp I ran on discord. That rp no longer exists, so this is all that remains. I may choose to add to it at a later date if the story gets more reads. ♡
Blood of the Forgotten Gods by iHackAnims
19 parts Ongoing Mature
In the ancient world of Elyndor, magic is more than a tool-it's a curse bestowed by long-forgotten gods. The most powerful magic, known as Tier Magic, ranges from Tier 9 to the dreaded Tier 1, but only those blessed-or cursed-by the ancient gods can wield the more potent levels. Magic of Tier 4 and beyond runs wild in the blood of the chosen, bringing both unimaginable power and the inevitable decay of the soul. For commoners, the very idea of wielding such magic is a death sentence. Those unlucky enough to inherit a drop of this bloodline are ostracized, feared, and hunted. Dantalian-or Dan-is a lowborn servant, scraping out a meager existence doing menial tasks in the great city of Ithos, a crumbling metropolis governed by powerful nobles who hoard both magic and wealth. Dan has no grand ambitions, no dreams of power, and no taste for rebellion. To him, survival is the only priority in a world filled with inequality, war, and whispers of ancient magic returning to the land. But when a series of mysterious events unlock something dormant within him-an ancient power linked to a bloodline long thought extinguished-Dan's life is thrust into chaos. He possesses magic that he neither understands nor controls, magic that others would kill to possess. As he begins to unravel the secrets of his own lineage, Dan is drawn into the machinations of rival kingdoms, sorcerers, and gods who have not truly vanished but have been waiting for someone like him to awaken their ancient designs. As the story begins, Elyndor still stands at a fragile peace, but darkness looms on the horizon. Soon, Dan will be forced to navigate a world where power can corrupt, magic can destroy, and trust is a rare commodity. Will he succumb to the curse in his blood, or will he rise to challenge the gods themselves?
Jovan's Gaze by Aarondov
31 parts Complete
Jovan's world is small and medieval. It was once ruled by the good kingdom of Esis in the south, and the evil kingdom of Krona in the north. Those kingdoms are now fifteen years gone, victims of magic that escaped the control of the mages who wielded it in a final, devastating war. Now the land of Theris is empty and scarred by plagues of magic; most of the war's survivors, people from both kingdoms, marched eastward into the endless desert in a desperate bid for a new start. They were never seen again. Jovan did not go with them; he lives quietly among a small village of survivors. Jovan also has an obsession; he has become enamored with Skyreach Keep, the seat of power of the old Dark Lords of Krona. After visiting the barren keep too many times, his village casts him out and banishes him to the endless desert. There he must find a new life, or better yet, wither and die under the scorching sun. Jovan marches east, but he does not die. He comes across a small building, filled with technology which is thousands of years ahead of his own. The people who work there speak a foreign yet strangely familiar language; it sounds ever so slightly like the dark tongue of Krona, the language of the enemy. But these strange people know where Jovan comes from, and they understand his language. They are, after all, his descendants, and they trace their ancestors back thousands of years... to an exodus which for Jovan is only fifteen years past. Jovan has walked out of the desert and into the future. And something evil has followed him.
