Bellamy grimaced when she said those words, the apology he had not wanted. "It was an accident." He confirmed more with himself than with Clarke, the pain of it all finally hitting him. It felt like a slap to the face when she didn't say anything, only confirming everything further. He was hurt, but the only logical thing he could think to do was laugh. The humourless sound got Clarke's attention and she turned her gaze to him finally. It was clear to her that it was fake, the sad smile he had not reaching his eyes. But she couldn't think logically, everything she wanted to say to him dying immediately on her tongue. "It's fine." He whispered, but she knew better. "Not it's not, don't pretend with me Bellamy." He didn't know what he was thinking when he did it. Maybe it was that only she really knew him, hell possibly even better than himself. That she was the only person who understood what he was going through and why he did what he did. But everything felt right as he pressed his lips to hers desperately, kissing her as if his life depended on it.
