Ivy is the first girl to show up in the glade... but she's not alone. Sitting in the box with her, is Thomas. Every single glader in the glade is freaked out. Two people have never come up into the glade together, let alone a girl.

But funny enough, Thomas and Ivy aren't the only two people to show up together, only days later, two more girls show up. Lilith and Teresa.

Although Gally is seemingly suspicious against the four, he seems to be drawn to Ivy. He doesn't want to admit it, but he might actually like her.

When Thomas figures out a way out of the maze, Gally refuses to go with the group. It's hard for Ivy to choose, but she chooses to escape. She knows she'll miss Gally, but she already misses the freedom she can't remember having.

While escaping through the maze, Ivy gets lost, chased by a Griever. But she manages to find the way out after a while. In there, she finds Gally and Chuck, dead. But is Gally really dead?

Only minutes later the two get saved by mysterious, uniform wearing people who take them to the "crank army". Leaving Chuck behind.
