Heavily influenced by the short southern Gothic story by Flannery O'Conner, "A Good Man is Hard to Find" about how horrible people are capable of being, though I can't pretend to have achieved anything close to this older story's excellence. On the other hand, this is also a story about culture shock, the cruelties and ambiguities of friendship, and the blind spots of being an expat.All Rights Reserved
