The most attached to her was hurt. Nothing hurt more in her life than the loss of her parents. Thinking nothing could break her more until she found her brother hanging on the ceiling.
Undeserving, that's the other words in the dictionary. How can I be happy if I was surrounded by misery? Fixing herself on one thing to ease her pain, she clung to it dearly. No mate of hers was going to take away what she worked hard to get.
