I bent down to pick it up, and before I could touch it, my eyes caught the lines of the random page of his diary. The lines that broke my hopes. The lines that will haunt me forever. The lines that pulled the raw strands of threads whose ends were left loose in the air abandoned by the very hands that tied his and my destiny together. "I stood there, a smile plastered on my face," he wrote, "but inside, my heart broke a little more. I love You, I love you My Surbhi, and I know I shouldn't. But my heart doesn't listen to my command so I became the man who carries the ghost of my love." The breath left my lungs as if I'd been punched. A tightness wrapped around my chest, squeezing until it hurt to breathe, My heart raced as I read those words again, each word striking me like a dagger. My hands trembled, the diary nearly slipping from my grasp I wanted to scream, to shout, but all I could manage was a silent, open-mouthed gasp. My fingers traced the words on the page, as if trying to erase them or make them disappear. I crumpled to the floor, hugging the diary to my chest, tears streaming down my face, each one a testament to my broken heart. My mind raced with disbelief and anger. What the fuck! Is this some kind of joke? My thoughts screamed in the silence, the pain almost too much to bear. My husband loves my own freaking sister. The realization hit me like a tidal wave, overwhelming and relentless. *************************************** A mute girl finds herself married to a man who's secretly in love with her sister. Monsters don't hide under the bed anymore....atleast her's didn't. He sleeps with her, beside her, in her bed. They do not have horns and fangs anymore....atleast her's didn't. He was the most beautiful thing she ever saw. They are not all about hating you.....atleast her's wasn't. He loved her... beyond the definition of human love. He loved her more than humanly possible. He loved her a bit too much... Excerpt "Ahh," he pulled her up fisting her hair in his grip. She let out a yelp as her back banged into his jeep. Her eyes were on his, and his was screaming rage. He grabbed her jaw. "Say it again," he said. "I-I will always be y-yours," she repeated. "Say it with my name."I-I am y-yours Shahzain," Sitara said, and he leaned more into her. His grip around her jaw loosened, and his hand cupped her cheek and pulled open her naqab. He rested his forehead on hers. "You are Sitara. You are mine. Just mine...." His lips engulfed her's and his hands traveled to her waist. He pulled her closer to her, eating up the tiniest bit of space they had in between. He gripped his shoulders tightly as a reflex. Just like his eyes, his kiss was dominating too, making every breath of Sitara submit to him.
