Christina, an orphan from Detroit, is finally living a normal life after years of hardship. But a warning from a mysterious stranger will plunge her into the heart of a world she didn't even know existed. She would be a shifter. She barely has time to come to terms with this idea when she finds herself involved in a kidnapping case, which takes a personal turn when her roommate also becomes one of the victims. She then has no choice but to accept what she is. She will be helped against her will by Jude, a man as dark as enigmatic, with whom she will establish a strange bond.
