In 1928 New Orleans, sawyer, a reclusive young woman lived alone, consumed by a passion for writing. All she wanted was to become a published author, but the city was tainted by the infamy of a serial killer. (She would take the case of detective work and find out who it is)
sawyer met a man. He was charming charismatic, and sawyer felt an immediate connection but couldn't afford any distractions. But instead They spent time getting to know each other, and he promised her that he would always be there for her. Despite her hesitation, sawyer trusted him.
Sawyer was blissfully unaware of the danger she was in.
Not realizing the web of deception that her companion was spinning behind the scenes.
