The Angel ran through the mansion, his heart thundering in his chest as the clock ticked. The sound of laughter fluttered around him causing goosebumps to bubble on his skin. The paintings on the walls seemed to follow him, the stunning subjects' eyes moving across as he sprinted past them. The Angel was frightened but amused. He couldn't escape, he knew that. Even if he wanted to, he didn't know who or what he would escape from. Instead, he decided to sit down in the far corner of the library, tucking his knees to his chest as he waited. Silently listening to the steady ticks of the clock, hoping he wouldn't be found soon.

Sometimes I just need a minute to fade to grey, just a moment in the darkness, just a second where the world around me freezes and I'm the only one awake. Is that so bad? "You're too late. Goodbye Alex." Just like the splintering wood of the slamming door my heart shook before it shattered. The shards like salt in my wounds. Everything hurt. Every muscle I moved stung and every beat of my heart ached against my ribs. Boyxboy
