Layla Haighs hasn't dated anybody since high school. The last person she expected to feel strongly attracted to was Zaine Fowler, the guy she's seen around for years but never really talked to. When Layla finds that her feelings for Zaine has become so intense that it's frightening, secrets are unveiled and it's suddenly clear why her stepsister, Steph Walden, feels such a deep hatred towards her. It never occurred to Layla that the people closest to her may be responsible for such an intricate web of lies. In the end, it all becomes a matter of who to believe, who to trust, and maybe, who to forgive.

QAIS

"She was his mirage, a dream he could only chase. He was her living hell, a nightmare she could not escape." Layla Mustafa is the only girl in her family allowed to go to university. Belonging to a strict patriarchal background, Layla, the shy and suppressed girl, could only dream of falling in love. That was until she met Zaviyar Malik, the warmest man she had ever met. Layla loved Zaviyar. Zaviyar loved Layla. They were meant for each other. The equation should have been complete. A fated Happily Ever After. But they forgot to consider one factor. One dangerous factor..... 𝘘𝘢𝘪𝘴 𝘒𝘩𝘢𝘯. Qais who was just another name for the devil himself. He spilled blood like water. Killed like it was a hobby. But more than anything... he loved like it was a sin. Madly. Addictively. and Dangerously. One mistake is all it takes for Layla to fall into the hands of the devil. Layla was a lover, not a fighter. And Qais was a killer, not a lover. What happens when the roles are reversed? What happens when fate brings them together?
