The Grim Reaper saves the life of a young girl named Laguna Blue out of pity. But he must come collect what belongs to him on her 21st birthday in order to not interrupt the order of Soul Collecting. The Reaper becomes slowly smitten with the girl as he purposely gives her a rough life and gives her vivid sleep terrors. Without realizing it, the Reaper and Laguna become Soul Tied, and Laguna cannot understand the gravity of it. She only thinks the Reaper has a silly ghost crush on her. As the Grim Reaper delays collecting her soul, Lucian becomes impatient and decides to take matters into his own hands. While Laguna remains oblivious to the unseen world around her, the Reaper does everything in his power to keep Lucian's hands off of Laguna...all while he tries to keep his hands off of her.
