Jack, a man with a passion for hiking and camping, finds his life irrevocably altered after a fateful encounter in the wilderness. During a solo expedition, he's bitten by an unidentified creature, dismissing the incident as a minor setback. However, the following day on a routine hunting trip, Jack experiences an insatiable, primal hunger that his usual protein bars fail to satisfy.
Driven by an inexplicable urge, Jack consumes raw meat from his fresh kill. The act both satiates and disturbs him, forcing him to cut his trip short and return home.
