Jack, a man with a passion for hiking and camping, finds his life irrevocably altered after a fateful encounter in the wilderness. During a solo expedition, he's bitten by an unidentified creature, dismissing the incident as a minor setback. However, the following day on a routine hunting trip, Jack experiences an insatiable, primal hunger that his usual protein bars fail to satisfy.
Driven by an inexplicable urge, Jack consumes raw meat from his fresh kill. The act both satiates and disturbs him, forcing him to cut his trip short and return home. Back in civilization, he discovers that his usual diet no longer appeals to him. After a internal struggle, he succumbs to his new cravings and devours raw meat, finding it uniquely fulfilling.
As dawn breaks, Jack must grapple with the consequences of his actions, the inexplicable changes to his body and psyche, and the dark path that lies ahead. Will he be able to control his new nature, or will it consume him entirely?
