One thing the Mid-Wilshire department does not need right now are new rookies. The awkwardness between Tim and Lucy, the betrayal of Dr. London, Nolan trying for a baby with Bailey, Angela and Wesley arguing more than ever, Grey considering retirement seriously and attempting to convince Jackson to take the role, plus the possible return of Elijah Stone has left their team broken. The Mid-Wilshire department does not need rookies. They don't want them either. But they got them. They got them in the form of the three best the Academy has to offer. But good test scores doesn't make good cops, good training officers do. Now, they have to start all over again with New Blood.

This story is based on the events of 5x20, where Isobel momentarily returns to carry out a UC task with Lucy's help. I have changed up the events a bit, and played on Lucy's jealousy towards Isobel, and her interactions with Tim. Lucy is not willing to be second best, and makes that abundantly clear. How will Tim deal with this? Includes some Nyla x Lucy bestie moments, as I feel we didn't get nearly enough of that in Season 5 or 6.
