Obscured by Shadows

Nova is used to living her life in the shadows, away from the rest of the world. She knows she can never again be a part of society. She's no longer human but a horrible creature of the night. Unable to settle down in one place for very long, lest her secret be revealed, she travels from town to town. New York City is her newest destination.

Throughout her many years of living, she's been called many things: Devil, beast, outcast, and monster. She's been called them so many times, she starts to believe them. Her life has been lonely for decades. It's almost as if her soul died the day her body did. When she stumbles across a group of superheroes and a certain god, her life changes in ways she never thought could happen.
