An alternative version of the Hunger Games franchise. Five districts exist in the nation of Panem all revolving the luxurious Capital, each with a different responsibility. District 5 is in charge of mining valuable minerals, metals and coal. District 4 is in charge of farming and livestock to feed all of Panem. District 3 is in charge of fishing and providing clean water. District 2 is in charge of masonry and weaponry for the richer districts. District 1 is in charge of luxury items and clothing. Every year two tributes between the ages of 12-18 are chosen from each district to participate in the Hunger Games. Until all but one tribute is dead, they are isolated in different "arenas" every year with limited resources and are forced to either kill or be killed. The tributes must undergo a series of tests even before entering the arena in order to gain sympathizers called sponsors who once they are in the Games can offer them valuable items like medicine and food. Some go into the games with friends, horrified of the thought of killing any of them, and some go into the games focused only on the riches promised after winning. This is a losing game either way, it is only a matter of time until your fate becomes clear.

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, rutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. 16-year-old Aspen, Katniss' best friend, is selected as District 3's representative. Aspen, Katniss and her male counterpart, Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives, some of whom have trained for this their whole lives.Concluida
