Elizabeth Bennet, however, with her stubborn personality and strong opinions, is more interested in avoiding the unpleasant Mr Darcy with his old money and the drama the newcomers and her own immature sisters bring.
Everyone should enjoy the witticisms, humour and romance of the BBC miniseries Pride and Prejudice, but sometimes, Jane Austen's language can be difficult to understand. I've translated each episode of the show into easy language to understand that still captures the humour and subtleties of the time.
